Cricket betting at geeta — bet on BPL, IPL and T20 World Cup on your own terms
Betting adds a new dimension to every ball, every wicket and every six in cricket. geeta offers multiple markets, live in-play options and payment methods familiar to users in Bangladesh.
Cricket formats and competitions — how does betting differ across them?
T20 — quick results, more action
T20 is the most popular format among fans in Bangladesh. Results shift fast in a 20-over game, so the odds move with every ball. From BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) to IPL and the ICC T20 World Cup — geeta keeps multiple markets open for all these competitions.
In ODI cricket, the long 50-over contest changes the picture repeatedly. Markets that stay open mid-innings give you the chance to assess a team's performance before deciding. In Test cricket, a draw is a real possibility across five days, so the markets are structured differently.
Football betting is not like cricket — a 90-minute match has no individual batsman or over-by-over markets. geeta Casino also offers card games and live casino options, which are a completely different type of entertainment.
Popular betting markets — where should you place your bet?
Match Winner
Which team will win the match — this is the most straightforward market. Example: if Team A wins you get a return at a set odds; if they lose the stake is gone. This market is used most in T20.
Toss Winner
A bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. Since the result is known shortly after, this is a quick, short-turnaround market.
Top Batsman
A bet on which player will score the most runs in an innings or across the full match. Odds tend to be a bit higher here because the probability is spread across more players.
Top Bowler
Which bowler will take the most wickets in the match — this market is especially popular in Test and ODI cricket, where bowling can be more decisive.
Total Runs Over/Under
Whether the total runs in an innings or match will be above (over) or below (under) a set number — if you can call this correctly, you can win even without picking the winning team.
First Wicket Partnership Runs
An over/under market on how many runs the two opening batsmen will put on together. The bet is settled as soon as the first wicket falls.
Multi Bet (multiple selections)
Placing bets on three separate markets on the same betslip multiplies the odds and creates a larger potential return — but if even one selection is wrong the entire bet is lost. A detailed example is given in the odds section below.
How to read odds — a simple explanation of three formats
Sports betting odds are displayed in three different formats. The numbers look different but each one represents the same outcome. At geeta you can choose whichever format you are most comfortable with.
Example 1 — the same price in three formats
Team A wins, bet ৳200:
| Format | Odds | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 3.00 | 3x the stake returned |
| Fractional | 2/1 | ৳2 profit for every ৳1 |
| American | +200 | ৳200 profit on ৳100 |
If Team A wins: ৳600 returned (৳400 profit + ৳200 original stake). If Team A loses: the full ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — odds for the favourite
Team B wins (favourite), bet ৳200:
| Format | Odds |
|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.50 |
| Fractional | 1/2 |
| American | -200 |
A minus sign in American odds shows how much you need to stake to win ৳100. On a ৳200 bet the return is ৳300 (৳100 profit).
Multi bet example
Three selections: decimal 1.50 × 1.60 × 1.80 = 4.32 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳432 — but only if all three selections are correct. If even one is wrong the full ৳100 is lost.
Live in-play betting — odds shift when a wicket falls
Real-time odds changes
In in-play betting, odds change every minute in line with the state of the match. A wicket can push up the odds for the batting side, while back-to-back sixes can bring them down.
Live BettingOver-by-over markets
How many runs will be scored in the next over, will a wicket fall — these kinds of markets are only available in-play. In T20 cricket they are very active in the final five overs.
Over MarketsWhen should you bet in-play?
After a major wicket falls in the first innings you get a sense of what might happen in the second. In-play markets require quick decisions because the situation changes in an instant.
In-Play TipsFootball and other sports — how do they differ from cricket?
In a 90-minute football match the number of goals is generally low and a draw is a common outcome. Markets are typically 1X2 (home/draw/away), total goals over/under or first-half result. Individual performance influences markets in cricket in a way that does not apply to football.
Tennis and badminton offer set-by-set betting, with each game available as a separate market. Local sports such as Kabaddi or wrestling have fewer markets but have their own appeal.
The key difference is that in cricket every ball event — wicket, run rate, partnership — creates a separate market, which is not as readily available in other sports. It is worth reading the terms and conditions to understand the rules around betting.
